To make selecting a payment method clearer and more convenient for guests, the section for payment method selection on the guest data entry step in Exely Booking Engine has been redesigned.
What has changed
1. The list of available payment methods can now be filtered using the “Pay later” and “Pay now” buttons.
2. Detailed descriptions of payment methods are now hidden under a “Show more” link.
3. One of the motivators may be shown in the payment method details:
Deferred payment;
Pay with points.
4. All payment-related calculations and the “Book” button have been moved to the cart.
5. If a payment method allows for different prepayment amounts, the booking engine will show one payment method with options for selection. By default, the smaller prepayment amount is selected.
6. An option to redeem points when selecting a payment method has been moved to the cart. In the mobile version, the option to redeem points will appear before the list of payment methods.
Pay attention. If a payment method does not support points redemption, the loyalty points section will not be displayed in the cart, and the “Pay with points” motivator will not be displayed in the payment method details.
7. If a guest selects a currency that differs from the rate plan and payment currency, a currency conversion terms notice will be displayed in the cart.
By clicking the “i” icon, a window with detailed currency conversion terms will be opened.
Pay attention. The currency conversion terms are only shown for payment methods that require prepayment to confirm the booking.
Features
1. Custom texts created and added under “Property settings” > “Comments” > “Payment methods in Exely Booking Engine” will be displayed in the payment method description under the “Show more” link.
2. If a payment method has multiple acquiring options, the information about which payment system will process the payment will be displayed in the payment method details.
