Consent to receive marketing emails is a single tool that helps you manage guest subscriptions. connects the following Exely solutions:
Exely Booking Engine, where guests book and pay for their stays.
The guest account, where guests manage their profile and bookings.
Exely Guest Relations, the centralized guest database where all guest information is stored.
This feature allows properties to collect guests' consent to receive marketing emails. If a property belongs to a group, guests who sign up for the guest account are automatically subscribed to marketing emails from all properties in a group. Guests cannot unsubscribe from the entire group at once — they need to manage their subscription separately for each property.
Guests can open their guest account at any time to see which properties they receive emails from and update their subscription preferences for each property.

The sign-up window
When creating a new account, guests see the option "I give my Consent to receive news and information about special offers" below the consent to personal data processing.
Note. The word "consent" is displayed as a link that leads to the legal document.
This option is enabled by default.
If the guest keeps the option enabled and completes sign-up, they subscribe to marketing emails from all properties in the group.
If the guest disables the option, the opt-out applies to all properties in the group.
The guest account
If a guest is already signed up, they can change their decision in their guest account in the “Profile” > “Notifications” section.
If the guest enables the subscription:
They tick the checkbox and click "Save changes".
The information is updated in the database.
The "Save changes" button becomes inactive again.
If the guest disables the subscription:
They untick the checkbox and click "Save changes".
A confirmation message appears: “You will no longer receive information about exclusive deals and personalized discounts. Only important booking updates will be sent”.
After the guest confirms the action by clicking "Turn off", the subscription is canceled only for the selected property.
The "Exclusive prices and offers" pop-up window
In some cases, information about the guest's consent to receive marketing emails is unavailable. This may happen if the guest signed up a long time ago or logged in with Google.
In this case, after logging in, the guest sees the "Exclusive prices and offers" pop-up window with the following message: "We send exclusive discount promo codes by email. Subscribe today and save on your next trip".
The window will pop up every time the guest logs in until they make a choice.
If the guest clicks "Subscribe", their marketing consent is saved and the corresponding setting in the guest profile is enabled automatically.
If the guest clicks "May be later" or closes the window, the opt-out is saved and the setting in the guest profile remains disabled.
The booking engine
When creating a booking, guests also see the marketing consent option, which is enabled by default.
Pay attention. Changing this option in the booking engine affects only the property where the booking is being made. The booking engine does not check the guest's previous marketing consent preferences. Instead, it sends the guest's current choice together with the booking to the Exely Guest Relations database.
