A unified or group loyalty program covers all properties that operate under the same brand and are managed by a single company or organization.
Within a group loyalty program, each property in the Exely extranet can set its own rules for rewarding points, since the conditions may vary across different properties.
Once properties are combined into a group and a unified loyalty program is launched, you can set two types of rules for rewarding points:
Main rule is a standard rule which is applied when rewarding points to a guest for a stay at any property in the group. It applies to all properties, unless a custom rule is set for one or more properties.
Custom rule is a special rule which is applied when rewarding points to guests at a specific property. A custom rule can be set for one or multiple properties.
How to set up main and custom rules for rewarding points
1. Activate and configure the group loyalty program for Exely Loyalty Program: Points.
2. In the Exely extranet, go to “Guest management” > “Loyalty Program”. On the “Loyalty program connection” page, click “Edit” for Exely Loyalty Program: Points.

3. In the loyalty program settings, switch to the “Reward rules” tab.

In the “Main rule” section, you will see a list of properties that are added to the group. By default, the main rule is applied to all properties in the group.

4. Click “Add a custom rule”.

5. Select the properties to which the custom rule will be applied.

6. Set the points rewarding conditions for each loyalty level.

Pay attention. The loyalty level name and earnings threshold (the “When a guest earns” setting) in a custom rule are automatically pulled from the main rule and cannot be edited.
7. Save the settings.

Features of rule setting
1. When creating a custom rule, you can select multiple properties to which it will be applied.
2. Once a custom rule is applied to a property, the main rule is no longer applied to it.
3. The main rule must be applied to at least one property in the group.
4. When a new property is added to the group, the main rule is applied to it by default.
5. When you need to manually top up rewards, you can select the property within the group where the guest stayed. Points will be calculated based on the selected property settings.

6. When adding or removing a loyalty level, the changes are automatically reflected in all rules. The loyalty level will be duplicated in each custom rule, while the level name and earnings threshold will be automatically copied from the main rule. In the custom rule, you will need to set the points rewarding conditions for each level.
7. If a property is removed from the group, it will no longer be displayed in the main and custom rule settings. If a rule is applied only to the removed property, it will be automatically deleted.
