How to create your own guest status

Use reference books to create a guest status in Exely PMS.

1. In the “Property management” section, open the “Settings” page. Then switch to the “References” tab help the hotel's staff to ensure an individual approach to each guest.


2. Select the “Guest status” reference book. Click on the “Add new element” button.


3. Write in a name of the status. Click on the “Apply” button.

If you select the "Set as default element in "Guest status" option in the "Guest status" reference, then this status will be displayed in the profiles of all new guests, unless it is changed manually. If this feature is not needed, leave this option unchecked.

4. The new status will appear in the list and will be available for selection in the booking card or guest profile.

Please note: information about the guest's status is only visible in the Front desk. The statuses are for informational purposes only and do not affect the ability of a guest or an employee of the hotel to make a reservation.
For example, a guest with the "Blacklist" status can book a room on the website or through the sales channel, as well as an employee of the accommodation facility can create a reservation for this guest in chess. A guest with VIP status, with the status of a "Regular customer" or "Corporate customer", etc. does not receive additional privileges when booking.

How to deactivate or delete a status

1. Go to "Property management" - "Settings" section - open "References" tab - click on the "Guest status" reference. 

2. Click on the “Action” button to the right to disable or delete a status.

Statuses created by default, which are marked with a padlock icon, cannot be deleted or deactivated.
