"Meals" report
What the report is for
It displays the number of guests that are supposed to have meals at your property on the selected day or during a selected period of time.
It helps you to plan supplies for meal provision.
It gives you information on guests going to your hotel restaurant.
Peculiarities
Only the services of “Meals” type get to the report.
Meal services that get to the report can be included in rate plans or paid for separately.
The report is created for the selected period.
How to manage the report
Select a date or a period of time to generate the report.
A report with the following content will be shown:
Room — the room number assigned to the guest.
Room type (adults/children) — a name of the room type and a number of adults/children that stay in the room and have meals.
Meal service — a kind of meal offered.
Quantity — a number of meals provided.
Check-in date — date and time of the guest’s check-in at the hotel.
Check-out date — date and time of the guest’s check-out at the hotel.
Guests — the first and last name of the guest or all the guests.
If you set different prices for extra services for adults and children, the report will contain additional columns for the guest age ranges with the number of extra services for the corresponding age range.
To select a specific meal type or room type, use the “Meal Type” and “Room type” filters.
Summary report
To show the total number of meal services for the required period, select the “Summary” report type, select the required date or a period of time and click “Show data”.
If you set different prices for extra services for adults and children, the report will contain additional columns for the guest age ranges with the number of extra services for the corresponding age range.
How to download the report
To download the report as an Excel file, click the “Export to XLSX” button.
Note: to make it convenient to work with data in the exported report, information about the room type and the number of adults and children staying in the room is shown in different columns.
How meals are scheduled in the system
Breakfasts are served on the day of departure. Lunches and dinners are served on the day of arrival.
Full board, half board, and all-inclusive meal plans can contain breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. To make it easier to manage the report, these meal plans are divided into separate meals and scheduled the according to days of the stay.
In case the check-in is before 16:00:

In case the check-in is before 16:00, and the check-out time is before 12:00, then, guests do not have lunch at the hotel.

How to change the default time
The default time that is used to schedule meals on the days of arrival and departure is 16:00 and 12:00. This time can be changed according to how meals are served at your property. To do this, go to “Property management” > “Settings” > the "Main settings" tab.
Scroll to the “Meal report settings” section and select the time that suits you.
The report includes services from bookings in rooms that were set not to be taken into account for statistics.
