How to view bank card details if the booking is guaranteed by credit card

If a booking confirmation indicates payment method “Bank card guarantee” take into consideration the following:

  • the guest left their bank card details as a guarantee;

  • the guest’s bank card was not charged by the system automatically;

  • the validity of the bank card and its balance were not verified by the system.

How to view bank card details

To view a guest’s bank card details:

1. Make sure you set two-factor authentication for viewing bank card details. For more details, refer to How to set up two-factor authentication with a mobile application

2. Go to “Reports” > “Bookings” and filter bookings with payment method “Bank card guarantee”.

3. Click the “Card details” link. In the newly opened window “Bank card view history” click “Next”.

4. “Confirm access to account” window will be opened. A push-notification with verification code will appear in the mobile app.

In case you didn’t receive push-notification, open Exely Hotelier mobile app and tap “Code Generator”. The verification code will be generated.

5. Enter the verification code in the field and click “Continue”. Bank card details will be available for viewing.

Access should be confirmed every 30 minutes in order to have the possibility to view bank card details.


Bank card details storage policy

  • Bank card details can be viewed 3 times only.

  • Bank card details are deleted 3 days after the first view.

  • If bank card details were not viewed at all, they are deleted 10 days after the check-out date.

If a guest entered invalid bank card details, you can request card details again.
