Date selection calendar in Exely Booking Engine
On the first step in Exely Booking Engine, guests select their stay dates in the date selection calendar.
The date selection calendar is available for booking engine for:
hotels,
services.
How to enable the date selection calendar
To allow guests to see the date selection calendar, in the Exely extranet, go to “Booking engine” > “Settings”. In the “Calendars” section, tick the “Display prices” check-box.
Pay attention. The booking engine will show the minimum price of all created rate plans without taking into account discounts and restrictions. The lowest price for the week will be highlighted in green.
Dates in the calendar
The dates that the guest has selected are highlighted in color on the calendar.
When pulling the dates to the right, the guest sees a prompt with the number of nights and a summary of the selected dates.
Dates unavailable for booking are grayed out and marked with crosses.
If a guest has selected dates unavailable for booking, an availability calendar page will open to show the guest the available options. For details, refer to the article “Availability calendar in Exely Booking Engine”.
Conditions for showing prices in the calendar
1. In the booking engine, the minimum price of all created rate plans without discounts and restrictions is shown.
2. The calendar shows the minimum price for one guest. That is, if a guest has specified two or more people in the booking module, the price in the calendar will not increase.
3. The minimum price is taken only from active and open rate plans without promo codes and does not take сlosed rate plans for Loyalty program members into account.
