API (application programming interface) is a set of tools and functions in the form of an interface for creating new applications, thanks to which one program will interact with another.
Exely Connect is a component of Exely Suite developed to integrate with external systems, such as sales channels, travel agents, and tour operators. Exely offers two types of integration: in the first type, Exey stores data, while in the second type, data is stored in the sales channel.
Exely Connect with data storage on the Exely side is a cloud-based solution which the sales channel accesses via APIs. Let's tell you why this integration is better than integration with data storage on the sales channel side.

With such integration, the sales channel receives:

Flexible pricing for properties. Prices are set in the Exely extranet depending on the rate plan, room type, number of guests, age of children and (or) type of accommodation — main and extra beds. More details are available in the article “How to change prices for a rate plan”.
Ability to work with 12 types of rate plans restrictions. For example, Closed, MinLOS, MinLOSArrival. For details, refer to “How to set up rate plan restrictions”.
Constant price updates. This is important when hotels work with dynamic pricing, with prices changing up to several times a day.
Settings for services, early check-in and late check-out. Include such services in the rate plan or provide them at an additional cost. Detailed information is available in the article “How to set an early check-in and late check-out rule”.
